Bishop-Wisecarver today announced its selection as a finalist in the Advanced Manufacturing category of the 6th Annual 2018 East Bay Innovation Awards. The East Bay Innovation Awards is a celebration of outstanding innovative companies and organizations in the East Bay, across different industry sectors, and final winners will be announced at the historic Fox Theater in Oakland on March 29.
Over 100 East Bay companies and organizations, showcasing the best examples of innovation in product development, services and processes were nominated for the awards. These submissions were then reviewed by subject matter experts and narrowed down to sixteen finalists in eight competitive categories.
“Bishop-Wisecarver has been manufacturing in the East Bay since we began more than 60 years ago, and we’ve grown and expanded with the support of the local business community, local government agencies such as the East Bay EDA, and local quality employees,” said Pamela Kan, president of Bishop-Wisecarver. “It is an honor to be selected for this Innovation Award and to help represent the strong business environment that exists in the East Bay. I encourage any company — larger or small, tech or non-tech — to consider establishing themselves in this region as the diverse benefits and incredible support provide great tools for success.”
The awards are sponsored by the East Bay Economic Development Alliance (East Bay EDA), to showcase the East Bay’s location advantages and resources that help business growth.
