LAPP has announced that two of its Skintop cable gland products — the Hygienic and INOX series – have received approval from NSF International, permitting their use in special-purpose food equipment and devices.
Both cable gland series feature stainless steel construction and smooth, edge-free surfaces that prevent fluids from accumulating which can otherwise cause microorganisms to gather. The Skintop Hygienic series is suitable for hygienically critical areas and allows for easy and safe cleaning. The Skintop INOX series is intended for splash zones in food production equipment. These seawater-resistant cable glands boast a compact design and wide, variable clamping ranges. All NSF 169-certified Hygienic and INOX cable glands are UL certified according to UL 514B fittings requirements.
LAPP offers Skintop cable glands with NPT and metric thread types as well as EMC versions that carry the following NSF 169 ratings:
Skintop HygienicSkintop Hygieniceries – NSF 169: For use in food zone non-contact.
Skintop INOX Series – NSF 169: For use in splash zone or non-food zone.
In addition to Skintop cable glands, LAPP’s food and beverage product lineup includes many types of hygienic Olflex tray, flexible, drive and Etherline Industrial Ethernet cables as well as specialized contamination-resistant Epic industrial connectors.
