Our business is centered around four main product lines that focus on the idea of “motion plastics:” energy chain systems®, chainflex® continuous-fl ex cables, iglide® self-lubricating bearings, and drylin® linear bearings and guides. We extensively test our products under realworld conditions inside our 41,000-square-foot test laboratory in Germany. Data from these tests are compiled into online tools and service life calculators to help customers specify the best material and part for their specific application. With over 28,000 products available from stock in our Rhode Island warehouse, we are able to ship up to 97 percent of orders within 24 hours.

Our team of sales engineers is available from 8 AM to 5 PM, coast to coast, with a dedicated team of technical sales experts located across North America for quick onsite assistance or installation and engineering services. We also offer complimentary online CAD files and extensive free product samples.

In addition to providing customers with reliable, high-performance products and superior customer service, igus also believes in the importance of fostering the mechanical design ideas of students. Through our YES (Young Engineers Support) Program, igus donates free products to robotic competitions, schools, and hundreds of thousands of students worldwide.

iglide® In addition to the iglide standard molded parts, igus® now offers SLS 3D-printed wear parts to bring complex geometries to life for prototyping and small production runs. The printed parts are low-friction, self-lubricating and maintenance-free. Our online 3D-printing service makes designing and ordering your parts faster and easier. No minimum order quantity required.

drylin® gantry robots are engineered to glide instead of roll, ensuring quieter and smoother operation. They’re lightweight and designed with self-lubricating components that are corrosion resistant and maintenance-free. drylin® gantries also cost up to 40% less than traditional gantries and can be configured with your required workspace.

energy chain systems® are equipped with interior separators to prevent cables from getting tangled. For strain relief, cables are tightly clamped and can be easily released for replacement. We offer chains in various sizes, chains with integrated rollers, and sensors to detect wear (smart plastics). Assembled systems are also available.
